M. Güven Güvenç, European Board certified Professor of Otorhinolaryngology -Head & Neck Surgery was born on 10 th March 2021, in Istanbul. He attended Galatasaray High School which is one of the most famous high schools of Turkey. Afterwards he had his medical education in Istanbul University Istanbul Medical Faculty, and he did his residency in Otorhinolaryngology- Head & Neck Surgery in Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty. His main fields of interest are aesthetic and functional nose surgery, endoscopic sinus surgery, salivary gland surgery, and endoscopic ear surgery. He is fluent in English and French, and his Italian is moderate.
Is being working in his own private office since September 2021.

Became Professor of Otorhinolaryngology- Head& Neck Surgery in 2015. He used to work in Acıbadem Maslak Hospital, Istanbul, until 2021.

Joined Acıbadem Healthcare Group in December 2013.

Became physician-in-chief of Department of Otorhinolaryngology- Head & Neck Surgery, Istanbul Bilim University, Medical Faculty in 2012 and held this position till November 2013.

Became Assistant Professor of Otorhinolaryngoloy- Head&Neck Surgery in 2010, at the age of 35. In the same year, he succeeded written and oral examinations which were held in Pamplona, Spain and Wien, Austria, and was one of the first Turkish physicians to be Fellow of European Board of Otorhinolaryngology- Head & Neck Surgery. Then had a scholarship from Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary, Boston, USA, and joined an observership program.
2010
Did his military service in Department of Otorhinolaryngology- Head& Neck Surgery, Ankara GATA which is a Military School of Medicine, and afterwards continued to work in Istanbul Bilim University.

Started to work in Department of Otorhinolaryngology- Head & Neck Surgery as Assistant Professor.

Worked as voluntary fellow between 2006-2007 in Department of Otorhinolaryngology- Head & Neck Surgery.
2004-2006
Finished his residency in Department of Otorhinolaryngology- Head & Neck Surgery, Istanbul University, Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty.

Joined an observership program in Portmann Institute, Bordeaux, France.

Prof. Dr. M. Güven GÜVENÇ has 43 scientific published article. He is the writer of 5 chapters in scientific books. He gave lectures in many national and international meetings, mainly on aesthetic and functional nose surgery. His scientific papers had over 180 citations. He is one of the reviewers of ‘Laryngoscope’, which is a very respected journal in Ear, Nose & Throat.
Beside medicine, he is also interested in foreign languages and etymology, literature, music, photography and travelling.
